Aahaa: Move Better
Privacy Notice
Effective October 29, 2026
Aahaa is operated by Pixmeknot Limited. We help you follow short movements and compare your attempt with a reference. This notice describes the current private, local-first release for adults 18 and over.
Your camera and recordings
Camera access lets you check framing, practise, and record an attempt or custom move. Movement detection and comparison run on your device. We do not use your camera to identify you, and we do not send camera frames or recordings to an AI service.
Your recordings and custom-move videos stay on the device where you made them. On iOS and Android, videos use private app file storage excluded from the app’s cloud backup directory. On the web, saved attempts and videos use browser storage. Videos are not uploaded or backed up by Aahaa. User-created moves and attempts are not publicly shared in this release.
Local data
The app stores recordings, pose landmarks, comparison results, custom moves, camera-check status, filters, and reminder preferences locally. The native app includes core reference videos so they can play offline. The web streams reference videos. Browser storage may be cleared by you or your browser; native files may be removed when you uninstall the app. Storage depends on available device space. We cannot recover deleted local videos.
Optional account and private score sync
You can browse and use free moves without an account. If you sign in, Firebase Authentication processes your sign-in identifier, email, display name, and authentication information. Google or Apple handles its own sign-in process if you choose that option. Firebase stores your account profile, private account settings, and subscription entitlement.
For signed-in Plus members, private attempt results and related movement metadata can sync to Firebase for score history across devices. This includes the move identifier, timing, match score, comparison and visibility measurements, and difficulty. Your recorded video and local pose-track files are not part of score sync. These results are for playful movement feedback; they are not a medical assessment.
Subscriptions
Apple or Google processes native-app purchases; we do not receive your card details. RevenueCat receives your Aahaa account identifier, store purchase and subscription information, and technical information needed to validate purchases. We store verified plan, product, renewal, and expiry information in Firebase to unlock Plus and support purchase restoration across signed-in devices.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase for authentication and private cloud records, RevenueCat for subscription management, Bunny.net for reference-video delivery, and Vercel for our website and API. Requests to online services may include IP address and standard connection or diagnostic information. Providers may process data outside your country. Their services support app functionality, security, and reliability.
We do not sell your personal data, serve third-party ads, or use your recordings for advertising. We do not use cross-app advertising tracking. The app does not access your contacts, precise location, or Health Connect/HealthKit records.
Reminders
If you enable movement reminders, their schedule and body-focus preferences stay on your device and use local notifications. You can change or disable them in Aahaa or your device notification settings.
Optional move updates
If you turn on move updates, Firebase Cloud Messaging registers this installation using a device messaging token and installation identifier to deliver push notifications through Google or Apple. These identifiers are used for notification delivery, not advertising. We do not attach the token to your Aahaa account or scores, and we do not upload your reminder schedule. You can turn updates off in Settings; this unsubscribes the device and requests deletion of its messaging token. Scheduled movement reminders remain local and separate.
Retention and deletion
Local files stay until you remove them, clear browser/app data, or uninstall the native app. Account information and private synced scores stay while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account in Settings → Delete account, or at our account deletion page. This removes your sign-in and associated private cloud records and requests removal of your RevenueCat customer profile. Deletion does not cancel a store subscription; cancel it separately through Apple or Google.
Deletion offers a separate option to erase all local moves and recordings on the current device. Other devices’ local recordings must be removed on those devices. Providers may retain limited transaction, security, or backup records as needed for their legal obligations and normal retention processes.
Your choices and contact
You can use the app without signing in, revoke camera or notification permission, delete individual attempts, cancel a subscription through the store, or request account deletion. For access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions, contact vinay@aahaa.fit. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object to processing, request a portable copy, or complain to your local data-protection authority.
Updates
We will update this page when the app’s data practices change. See our Terms of Service and support page.
